The editorial policy of the journal:


The editorial policy of the journal "Siberian Journal of Physics" is formed by the Editorial Board, which consists of scientists of the Novosibirsk Scientific Center of world renown in all major areas of modern physics. Since its establishment Journal focused on the publication of scientific papers on modern fields of physics, which are presented in research institutes and universities of Siberian region.
The journal publishes reviews and original articles that contain scientific results not previously published and not intended for simultaneous publication elsewhere. Short messages of no more than 4 pages that contain fundamentally new research results and require urgent publication are printed out of queues.
The objectives of the Journal: to convey scientific results to the international community as quickly as possible, to increase the scientific potential of the employees of institutions and universities by publication of articles on rapidly developing physics areas, to form a framework for graduate students and young scientists for a quicker mastering of modern techniques for writing scientific articles.

THE PROCEDURE OF MANUSCRIPTS REVIEW:


  1. An author sends to the editorial office the electronic version of the article, and a hard copy signed by all article authors, as well as a cover letter from the sending organization and the examination certificate. The executive secretary verifies that the appearance of the article corresponds to the requirements of the journal, and the content of the article corresponds to the thematic sections of the journal.

  2. Editor of the relevant thematic section assigns reviewers from among academic staff of the NSU and the leading scientists of the SB RAS, who signs a contract. The review is conducted on the conditions of complete anonymity.

  3. The submitted article is passed to the editor of a thematic section corresponding to its subject, for the purpose of peer review. Reviewers of the all thematic sections are acknowledged experts on the subject of peer-reviewed material and have for the last 3 years of the publication of peer-reviewed articles on the subject. Reviews are stored in the publishing house and editorial office for 5 years.

  4. The duration of review of any article has not to be more than 3 months from the date of receipt of the article to the editorial office.

  5. If the review indicates that the text of the article contains omissions and errors, it is sent to the author for revision and then the article re-viewed by the same reviewer. The author has the right to accompany the revised article by a letter in which expresses a reasoned opinion or objection to the remarks made by the reviewer. If the author is not satisfied with the result of the review, the article has to be directed to other reviewer for its additional examination and further consideration.

  6. After receiving positive review for the article, it is considered at the meeting of the Editorial Board which decides about the possibility of its publication in the next or subsequent issues of the journal.

  7. In the case of an unfavorable opinion of the reviewer about the possibility of the article publication, this article is viewed by the section editor and chief editor or his deputy, and then considered by the Editorial Board, by a decision of which the article can be rejected or sent back for revision. The Editorial Board has the right to appoint an additional review of this article by other reviewers as well.

  8. Executive secretary sends the authors the copies of the reviews or a reasoned refusal on the article. He/she also undertakes to send copies of reviews to the Ministry of Education and Science in case of admission of the corresponding request to the editorial office.
