On uniqueness of determination of Lambertian optical surface by images
Within the framework of the settings of inverse problems of photometry, the problems of determining the spatial location and luminosity of a Lambertian optical surface are studied by its images obtained using a small number of optical systems. The reasons for the ambiguity in determining the location of such surfaces are studied. Criteria for the uniqueness of the solution to the inverse problem of reconstructing luminous surfaces from three images have been established for weight functions of general form. The results are extended to specific classes of weight functions that model the degree of transparency of the medium, including its absorption or scattering.
