An experimental study of 3D spatial structure of large-scale vortices in a strongly swirling turbulent jet was performed by using Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) method and Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD) analysis. Keywords:
turbulent swirling jet, precessing vortex core, large-scale vortices, Particle Image Velocimetry, Proper Orthogonal Decomposition.
