For more than 30 years V. E. Larichev headed the North-Khakass expeditions of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, SB RAS (Novosibirsk). A new area of research Astroarchaeology, which is essentially an interdisciplinary science, required a combination of archaeological and natural-science methods.
