Element Composition of Dry Mixture from Dyalyan Bural (Hun-Sarmat's Time, Mountain Altai)

The article presents the results of the elemental analysis of the dry mixture found during excavations of the female burial of the Dyalyan burial ground (Gorny Altai, HunnoSarmatian time). In the studied sample, found in a birch bark box (container), the presence of pigment, dry grass, calcite base and protein was found. The sample was analyzed using вариус technnic; SEM-EDX methods, IR spectroscopy, and crystal-optical analysis. The composition of the mixture, the presence of protein, the inclusion in the sample of the organic material (lamellar bone, epithelium, other connective tissue). The interpretation part involves the search for analogies and the probable explanation of the funeral rite elements in the aspect of maternity practices by Turk’s people.
