“Crisis” in social, economic and political Sciences: an attempt to understand the concept

The article considers the features of studying the crisis in various social sciences. The trajectory of development of this concept is shown, the features of the formulation of the conceptions of the crisis as a social, economic and political phenomenon are analyzed. It is shown that the infinite complication of crisis situations is a characteristic feature of modernity. This actualizes the need for the compilation of knowledge accumulated by various sciences and at the same
time – for its possible rethinking.
