The essay is dedicated to Maxim Grigorievich Levin’s activity, the anthropologist and ethnographer who gave most ofhis life to the investigation of anthropology and ethnography of the peoples of Siberia and the Far East and contributed a lot to methodology and methods of studying of ethnogenesis, one of the most complicated historical phenomena.
