Papers review procedure

The materials are accepted for consideration through the Electronic editorial office service http://pubrgg.nsu.ru

The papers that correspond to the thematic of the Journal and the formal technical requirements for authors are given for consideration to members of the Editorial board. A responsible editor is assigned (from the Editorial team) and is authorized to select reviewers at their discretion.

The final decision concerning the article is made by the Editorial team, whose opinion is based on the evaluation of the responsible editor and at least two reviewers. The review process is also done remotely – the reviewers are issued an invitation in the system of the Electronic editorial office. After confirming their agreement, the specialist prepares the review during 1 month and uploads it to the system.

Review policy:

The Editorial team guarantees a confidential, independent and objective review of the manuscripts. The Editorial team chooses reviewers that have no connection to the materials of the manuscript and have a sufficient experience and no conflict of interest. The reviewers guarantee to provide an objective expert estimation of the manuscript in the timeline determined by the Editorial team. The reviewer accepts to notify the editorship if they are unable to analyze the manuscript and prepare the review in time. Personal criticism of the authors by the reviewers is not tolerated. All conclusions of the reviewer must be argued and supplied with references on reliable sources. We care for the confidentiality of the reviewers, therefore their names can be disclosed to the authors only with the former’s agreement. Depending on the decision of the Editorial team, the reviews can be provided to the authors in full or in part.

After the double independent review, the members of the Editorial team decide as a group whether to: accept, refuse, or require major revisions to remove remarks (with possibly a second review). After the decision of the Editorial team, the authors receive the corresponding notification in their personal space of the Electronic service.
